DESCRIPTION OF THE BUILDINGThis is a public building with neoclassical features. The building has two storeys with a raised ground floor. It is narrow-faced, with a rectangular plan. Its main and back elevation are organized with a central symmetrical axis, three-part vertical and horizontal layout and emphasis of the central part, which is slightly projected and bears a triangular pediment. On the side elevations, the rhythmic repetition of its openings in horizontal and vertical axes is characteristic for this style. On the façade, the main entrance has a marble border architrave with an engraved inscription and is framed with two marble pseudo-pilasters with Doric style capitals on each side. The edges of the side elevations are decorated with marble quoins. On the top level, above the entrance there is a small balcony, and the edges of the central part are decorated with coated pseudo-pilasters with Corinthian style capitals that bear an architrave. The openings of the upper floor are decorated on the lintel with a triangular pediment. The back elevation is organized with similar decorative elements and patterns. The entrance is placed centrally, framed by marble pilasters with Corinthian style capitals that bear an architrave and a cornice. The edges of the central part are decorated with stone pilasters on the ground floor and plastered on the first floor. The openings have coated edging with a triangular pediment. Horizontal decorative cornices separate the floor levels on all sides. The finial of the building is decorated with a three-part cornice, made of decorative ribbons and is formed by a triangular pediment in the central part of the roof on the main and back elevation. The roof is wooden and is covered with Roman type roof tiles.
